Statement about your relation with Yamaha or your instrument:

Yamaha instruments are for me the only way to go. I always want to get better at what I do and Yamaha trumpets help me do that. They are limitless and always progressing.

How does your instrument help you in your daily life as an artist?

The flexibility of Yamaha Instruments is incredible. Wether I am playing in a symphonic orchestra, a wind band or chamber music, I have the freedom to play the way I want, when I want it.

How would you characterise your instrument?

The trumpet is free blowing and has a fantastic versatile sound. All of my Yamaha instruments offer a similar playing sensation which helps me change between different styles of music.

Who was your most influential teacher and is there any advice which you still follow?

The two most influencial teachers are Manu Mellaerts and Jeroen Berwaerts. I wouldn't be where I am without these two very special people!
