Nicholas Carpenter started his musical education as a chorister at St. Paul’s Cathedral and gave his first solo performance on the clarinet at the age of ten. After winning the inaugural National Chamber Music Competition for Schools with his playing of the Mozart Clarinet Quintet he spent four years at the Royal College of Music, London, where he studied with Dame Thea King and John McCaw and enjoyed a prize-winning studentship.
Eric Aubier entered Maurice Andre's class at the CNSM of Paris at the age of 14 where he was the youngest graduate at the time earning three first prizes.

Tomer Maschkowski was born in 1982, into an Israeli family living in Rotterdam, Holland. He began playing the trombone at the age of 13 under the tutelage of his grandfather, a former trombonist of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. Tomer enrolled as a student at the Rotterdam Codarts University and was later accepted into the Staatskapelle Berlin Akademie and the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra, where he had the chance to work under the guidance of maestro Daniel Barenboim.
