With the surround sound unit housed in the top section and supported by two aluminium columns, the YRS-1100 offers an open design that evokes the look of a grand piano and has plenty of space for your other components. It also eliminates the problem of where to put a subwoofer, as a powerful 100W unit is hidden away inside. The middle shelf is height adjustable. An interior slide sheet lets you easily slide the unit when you want to move it. You can use the optional bracket to install your TV flush with the wall, giving you a neat system installation.
Digital Sound Projector™ Technology
The YRS-1100 applies this sophisticated technology to precisely control the orientation of the sound by focusing it through multiple beams. The centre channel sound is heard directly, while sounds from other channels are heard after reflecting off walls. The result is true multi-channel surround sound that sounds just like a multi-speaker system – but without the need for extra speakers!
All-in-One System
With its built-in powerful 232W digital amplifier and built-in subwoofer, the YRS-1100 is more elegant and less obtrusive than a rack plus multiple speaker boxes. In addition to being economical, it eliminates the need for unsightly speaker cables.
Versatile Listening Modes including 7.1-Channel Output Capability
The YRS-1100 achieves true surround sound by directing sound beams off the walls to reach the listener from various angles. The main mode is 5 BeamPlus2 for 7-channel sources. In addition, there is a wide variety of other listening modes. You can select 3 BeamPlus2 + Stereo, 5 Beam, Stereo + 3 Beam, 3 Beam, Stereo and My Surround.

Tecnologia surround in cuffia
Yamaha has succeeded in providing a 7.1-channel surround sound experience through headphones, while maintaining excellent audio quality. Using highly sophisticated HRTF (Head-Related Transfer Function) technology and FIR (Finite Impulse Response) filter processing, the headphone output offers accurately localised front and rear sound orientation for private enjoyment of movies and music. There are also specialised modes for TV programmes and games.

The YRS-1100 decodes HD Audio signals to ensure that you hear the best possible sound from Blu-ray Disc players, as well as from all other digital sources.
HDMI V.1.4a compatibile 1080p
The YRS-1100 provides 3 in/1 out HDMI connections with support for 1080p resolution. HDMI V.1.4a is the latest version of the HDMI interface, featuring 3D for transmitting 3D video signals. Audio Return Channel lets you hear the TV sound from the YRS-1100 via a single HDMI cable, with no need for an extra optical cable. HDMI also provides the benefits of Deep Colour, x.v.Colour and Auto Lip-Sync.
Compatibilità CEC
When the YRS-1100 can be connected to a CEC-compatible TV, such as a Panasonic VIERA Link compatible television, it will turn on and off simultaneously with the TV.

This Yamaha exclusive feature ensures optimum multi-channel sound reproduction with accurate image location. By monitoring and analysing the sound with the microphone included with the YRS-1100, IntelliBeam automatically sets the best beam angles, while optimising the level and frequency response of each beam. This makes initial setup both extremely simple and acoustically perfect.

The 16 beam speaker drivers have an acoustic suspension design and silk edges for smooth high frequency response. The dual 6x10cm front speakers have a new low-vibration design and the front cabinet is designed for clean midrange response. The 13cm subwoofer has a powerful magnetic circuit for deep and strong bass. In addition, the bass reflex port has a flared edge design to prevent wind noise.

The YRS-1100 makes it easy to enjoy music from your iPod/iPhone via a wireless link. You also get outstanding sound quality, because AirWired technology transmits uncompressed data so there is no loss of signal data, unlike systems that use Bluetooth technology to send compressed data. In addition, there is no delay time, ensuring that sound and video are always in sync.
